Voilà ! I’ve been wanting to this for a long time now but never got around to until now.

I was afraid to not have the time, to bore people and to be just another one of those thousands of blogs out there. I thought I didn’t have anything interesting to share… Then the Instagram adventure began. When I first started to post pictures of my “promenades” in Paris I received a lot of support. Then I created the hashtag #oreillystourdeforceofparis where I shared my favorite Parisian spots and all my pictures of Paris. People seemed to like it because I received even more support which made me more self-confident and want to share even more with you.

When I started working on my blog I thought to myself: what the hell am I thinking!  After hours of tearing my hair out (and messing around randomly with HTML codes in CSS, PHP files and many other things which are Chinese to me), I finally managed to do more or less what I wanted.

In any case, I hope you’ll like this space and that you will feel good here, good enough to make you want to come back. I need to be reassured that it’s worth it so don’t hesitate to share with me your comments or suggestions.

A new adventure begins and I’m happy to share it with you.

I thought we could end on a poetic note with a quotation from Balzac who illustrates sublimely what saunter means.

“To saunter is a science; it is the gastronomy of the eye. To take a walk is to vegetate; to saunter is to live… To saunter is to enjoy life; it is to indulge the flight of fancy; it is to enjoy the sublime pictures of misery, of love, of joy, of gracious or grotesque physiognomies; it is to pierce with a glance the abysses of a thousand existences; for the young it is to desire all, and to possess all; for the old it is to live the life of the youthful, and to share their passions.” (Honoré de Balzac – Human comedy)
