Summerhouse atmosphere in Le Pavillon des Canaux

After the canal St Martin, let’s go to the canal de l’Ourcq to spend a nice summery moment at the Pavillon des Canaux.

The reputation of Pavillon des Canaux continues to expand and it is not surprising because like le Comptoir Général that I’ve talked to you about in a previous post, it’s a  very different place from the other Parisian coffee shops.

Why? Because the Pavillon des Canaux is a house on 2 floors furnished as a real house with a kitchen, a bathroom, a room, an office… Every room is painted in a different color and offers a different atmosphere. You can stroll inside freely and decide in which room you want to spend some time. For example, you can have a drink on a sofa, in a bed or even in a bathtub!

Not only the concept is very original but also it is a goldmine of inspiration for decoration interior! I don’t know about you but it gives me so many ideas that I want to reproduce at home (I’m gonna have to start to seriously negotiate with the Boyfriend for that, and he’s is not easy to convinced, even for a legal counsel like me).

Its location with its terrace on the canal is also ideal to drink a bissap juice in the sun while looking at the boats passing by.

The Pavillon des Canaux is at the same time a restaurant with good quality snack food, a coffee shop offering Lomi coffee, a coworking space offering both the functionality of an office and the friendliness of a coffee and a place offering many events like exhibitions of Instagram pictures (at the moment Amélia‘s pictures are exposed), cooking classes, petanque tournaments, private concerts, conferences… You can have a look at all planned events here.

There are more and more blog events taht take place at Pavillon des Canaux. I went there twice in 2 weeks, once for a Petit Bateau event and another organized by Taillefine et My Little Paris with Nymphea’s Factory in charge of the decoration. I spent a wonderful moment because the place was privatised but also because the summery decoration was beautiful and there were cool workshops: cooking class by the adorable Maïa from the blog Petits Béguins, a DIY workshop to customize hats with Amélia, a Photo Booth, and the best of it:  a boat ride on the canal and we were the ones driving it! Of course we had to wear very sexy life jackets.

In a few words, the Pavillon des Canaux is a nice refuge for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and are looking for a quiet and convivial place to relax in a summerhouse atmosphere.
