It’s time to celebrate the festive season because christmas is only in 3 days !

Christmas spirit is everywhere : in the streets of Paris, in our plate and in hour house. Let’s go for some festive strolls to finish this year on a high note.

This year I wasn’t too impressed by Christmas decorations in Paris. Unlike other cities in the world I think that Paris isn’t really more magical during Christmas compared to the rest of the year. I don’t know if it’s because of the financial crisis but I’ve got the impression that the more the years pass the less decoration we have.

Don’t worry we still have magical places. For example, it wouldn’t be christmas without seeing the windows of Haussmann stores. Let’s start to stroll then on boulevard Haussmann. I love the Printemps windows in collaboration with Burberry this year. They are telling us the amazing journey of a little boy from London, his hometown, to Paris, the city of light. I won’t show you the ones of Galeries Lafayette because there were too many people and I didn’t like them with their fury and colorful monsters. For me it has nothing to do with the christmas spirit but children seemed to like them.

I went to see closer the christmas tree of the Galeries which is always spectacular. This year it’s an upturned giant christmas tree. Impressive but quite kitsch !Galeries Lafayettes – 40 boulevard Haussman – 75009 PARIS

Then, let’s go towards Place Vendôme passing through the chic areas or by making a detour through the beautiful Galerie Vivienne which is always nice to see, no matter the occasion. Let’s finish this stroll by crossing the Carrousel bridge to stroll in the adorable rue des Saints-Pères but I’ll show you more about it another time because this place is so gorgeous that it deserves its own post. Rue des Saints-Pères

Christmas is also private sale season. It’s time to for me to wish you a wonderful festive season surrounded by people you love and to tell you “see you next year” because I’m leaving for Korea (South Korea of course) in a few days to visit my brother who is studying abroad. You will see a lot of pictures of my trip on IG or on FB and you will not escape one or two posts here on the blog. ;) What’s your program to celebrate christmas and NYE ? Sézane, this is quality materials, products that are both chic and casual, fashionable at the moment with a vintage touch, but above all, creations “made with love” (all products are engraved with the sentence “fait avec amour” = “made with love”. This little gesture make the brand even more endearing. The concept : 4 little collections per year with some products in limited editions, only available on internet until they are sold out (which happens very fast).  For every sale it is war to be able to buy what you wanted. Here are some of my favorite products, as you can see Sézane has an eye for detail.

I had fallen in love with the Low Hunter but I couldn’t buy them during the December’ sale because in 1h it was out of stock ! I sent an SOS by posting a picture on Instagram asking people to contact me in case they ordered them but didn’t want to keep them. (picture by Sézane)

The next day I was so happy to read an email from Morgane Sézalory in person ! She was telling me that she still had one pair of shoes in my size and that I could come try them at her office ! I was so pleased and humbled. Well chance has its limits, otherwise it wouldn’t be funny… so the D day I had a bad cold with weeping eyes, runny nose and so on. I arrived in a bad shape at Sézane’s office or should I say in this wonderful loft ! (Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures but I just had my phone on me)

I had the opportunity to meet Morgane who is the kind of girl you inevitably love (or hate because you wish you could be her). Her spontaneity hit me, I loved talking to her, she has such an unusual career path and she has this natural beauty that makes her so fascinating (yes I’m a fan I must admit :p ). I also had the opportunity to meet Corentin and Charlotte who are as adorable as Morgane. What a dream team !

Not only I left with my dream shoes of such an amazing quality, but I also was spoiled by Morgane with gifts. Yes I know, you hate me right now but it’s not my fault if Morgane is so generous !

For the lucky ones that managed to make a reservation (I think it’s already sold out) for Sézane’s rendez-vous next weekend, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet her during this Christmas sale in her office-studio. Who will be there ?
